• You Me
  • There is a theory that when two people walk into a room, there are actually six people present: the two people themselves, their perceptions of themselves, and their perceptions of each other. With this theory, a single person never has a single identity. Every identity is projected from oneself to another and onto oneself, thus changing whom someone actually is.
With this project, I enter the studio with my subject and capture eight portraits. Afterwards I explain how to use the 4x5 camera and allow the subject, now the photographer, to take my picture while keeping the lights and film constant. The ten resulting photos capture all of the six identities at any given time.
